Anita Fromm approached the Cerebral Palsy Association of Colorado Springs with a gold mine of an idea: a 5k fun run fundraiser with an Ugly Christmas Sweater theme. The event was a huge success in it’s inaugural year in 2011 and in 2012, it attracted nearly 300 participants. In all, the fundraiser has provided close to $8,000 to folks in Colorado Springs with Cerebral Palsy. The proceeds from this event go towards funding equipment like wheelchairs or adaptive bicycles, towards sending children to specialized camps, and towards helping cover the expense of medical bills. Now in it’s third year, the race will continue to build on it’s strong foundation. We hope to draw even more runners and walkers, to attract even uglier sweaters, and to bring even more smiles to our community. Come join us for THE UGLIEST RACE IN TOWN!
